About
Créer des espaces de rencontre, de dialogue et de cocréation
By fostering listening, collaboration and respect for territories, we help build meaningful initiatives where Indigenous cultures can be shared, experienced and valued in a just and lasting way.
Bringing people and cultures together through meaningful projects
Kanatíson was born from the desire to build lasting bridges between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. Through cultural projects, events, mediation experiences and tourism initiatives, we support organizations that wish to develop relationships grounded in respect, reciprocity and mutual understanding.
Each collaboration is built with care to highlight the voices, stories and knowledge of First Nations members, while taking into account the context, territory and people involved.
Our approach rests on four complementary principles: connect, create, activate and share — a process that transforms intentions into meaningful human experiences.

Un symbole inspiré par l'équilibre, la connexion et l'harmonie
Kanatìson’s visual identity draws inspiration from the Wendat and Kanien’kehá origins of Véronique Karahkwa’í:we Vincent. The symbol integrates several meaningful elements, including the celestial dome, the Tree of Peace and the moon evoking natural cycles and movement.
The fluid forms recall water, a symbol of emotion, flow and connection between people. Placed at the centre, the Tree of Peace represents unity, rootedness and collective strength.
Like Kanatìson’s approach itself, this identity reflects the balance between tradition and contemporaneity, between territory and relationship, between transmission and creation.
Complementary expertise in service of your projects
Founder and cultural development consultant
I am Véronique Karahkwa’í:we Vincent, a Wendat and Kanien’kehá woman, and founder of Kanatíson Développement. For over twenty years, I have worked in hospitality, event management, tourism, and cultural development. My non-linear path has given me a broad vision and the ability to connect ideas, people, and needs to bring forth projects that are coherent and grounded in their reality. A strategist by nature, I am also deeply attentive to human relationships. My work draws as much on my professional experience as on my lived experience. Coming from two nations allows me to bring a nuanced perspective to contemporary Indigenous realities and to create spaces for respectful encounter between individuals, communities, and organizations. I believe in the power of dialogue, co-construction, and the importance of understanding realities and territories before taking action. My role is to support that reflection and help projects take shape in a way that is just and sustainable. What drives me remains simple: weaving connections, circulating knowledge, and contributing to encounters that carry meaning.
“Every project is built according to its place, its people, and its context — in co-creation with the communities that bring it to life.”
Graphic Designer and Creative Collaborator
Originally from Kanehsatà:ke, Caira is a multidisciplinary Kanien’kehá creator whose work draws inspiration from cultural identity, Indigenous partnerships, and the land. Her approach combines design, visual storytelling, and symbolism to develop meaningful projects.
Our relationship, born out of tourism, has deepened over time into a true creative partnership. We balance each other out, bringing complementary strengths, ideas, and perspectives to every project. Our connection is rooted in trust, emotion, spirituality, and a sincere understanding of one another.
Annexe Communications Agency
Recognized for over thirty years for its expertise in communications across culture, major events, film, television, music, and comedy, Annexe is Kanatíson’s partner agency and has been collaborating with Véronique Vincent since November 2023.
Driven by the conviction that every story deserves to be told with authenticity and depth, the agency has made amplifying the voices and cultures of First Nations peoples one of its core missions. At its helm, Marie Routhier, an Innu businesswoman originally from Mashteuiatsh, embodies this vision every day. Together with her partner Philip Vanden Brande and a high-calibre team, she has established Annexe as an essential player in the arts, culture, and communications in Quebec and beyond.
The breadth of the agency’s mandates reflects this ambition: from Formula 1 to the Opéra de Montréal, from Les Francos to FEQ, as well as the Kanehsatà:ke Indigenous Winter Market, the series Pour toi Flora, the feature film Rustic Oracle, and for a third consecutive year, the Innu Nikamu festival — a major cultural gathering for 42 years in Mani-Utenam.
Far more than a service provider, Annexe positions itself as a trusted partner for any organization seeking to engage sincerely, knowledgeably, and respectfully with communities.
